Lift Off 2024 & Spring Equinox 2024
On 16th March, Senior Westies were chosen to perform as part of Lift Off 2024 at South Hill Park, Bracknell and as part of Spring Equinox on 20th March at the Corn Exchange, Newbury. They performed their new piece 'Taking Back Control'.
Ace Invites 2023 & Breakout 2024
Senior Westies performed as part of Ace Invites on 12th December 2023 and as the curtain raiser for Trinity School's Breakout dance performance on 25th January 2024. Both performances were at Arlington Arts. They performed their new piece 'Into the Darkness'.
Thatcham Thrives 2023
Westies had their first show of the year as part of Thatcham Thrives 2023 Showcase at Kennet School, Thatcham on 8th October. They performed their work 'Attachment'.
Westies 2023-2024
Westies are back in rehearsals for the new academic year. Westies are also rehearsing ready for this year's shows at various venues in Newbury and Bracknell.
Westie Auditions 2023
We had brilliant auditions for Senior Westies in July with some amazing talent being seen. The successful dancers have now become company members and are taking company class each week starting in September 2023. It's going to be an exciting year!!
Westie 2023 Graduates
We have had to say goodbye to some amazing Westie company members again this year, as they go off on their next steps in their lives. We are going to miss them so much in class but we are so proud of you all. Keep in touch and remember, 'Once a Westie, always a Westie!'
Young Performers Showcase 2023
On 27th June, Senior Westies were chosen to perform as part of the first ever Young Performers Showcase at the Corn Exchange, Newbury. They performed their new piece 'Attachment.

On 12th March, Senior Westies were chosen to perform as part of Lift Off 2023 at South Hill Park, Bracknell and as part of Spring Equinox on 28th March at the Corn Exchange, Newbury. They performed their new piece 'Cutting Ties'.

Senior Westies performed as part of Ace Invites on 14th December 2022 and as the curtain raiser for Trinity School's Breakout dance performance on 23rd January 2023. Both performances were at Arlington Arts. They performed their new piece 'Snapshot Memories'.

On Sunday 27th March, Senior Westies were chosen to perform as part of Lift Off 2022 at South Hill Park, Bracknell. They performed their new piece 'The Powerful Advances'.
Westies on the BBC
Senior Westies were lucky enough to feature on BBC South Political Show, as part of a segment that the Waterside Centre, Newbury, were involved in. It was a fantastic expereience to be a part of and discover how the filming process works.
Breakout 2022

Westies are back & getting ready for showtime!
Westies are back in rehearsals for the new year, back on a Friday but in a new venue! We are so excited to be based at the Waterside Centre in Newbury, as one of the first groups to be using the fully refurbished space. Westies are also rehearsing ready for their first show since March 2020, as part of Lift Off on Sunday 18th October at South Hill Park, Bracknell.
Introducing Alexandra!
We are super excited to have Alexandra Green joining Team Westie this term as rehearsal director. Alexandra was a member of Westies from 2012-2015, before heading off to study for a BA Hons in dance at the Institute of the Arts in Barcelona. Since graduating, she has been performing and teaching back around Newbury
Westies Classes are Back!
Finally, after the long wait, Westie classes are back! Although in a different venue, on a different day and at a different time, it has been amazing to get back dancing again! We have all of the social distancing and new requirements in place to make Westies safe for all dancers!
Senior Westies at UDance 2020
Senior Westies performed as part of Make U.Dance 2020, the South East regional platform for UDance 2020 on 8th March.

Senior Westies have had the most amazing news..... they have been selected to be one of eight dance companies across the whole South East to compete in UDance 2020!! What a fantastic opportunity. They will be performing their piece 'Lost in a Crowd'. Bring on the rehearsals.
Breakout 2020
Senior WBYDC performed as the curtain raiser to Trinity School's Breakout show, a celebration of outstanding dance within Newbury schools at Arlington Arts, Newbury. They performed their piece' Strangers' choreographed by Sarah Martin and Dancers.
Ace Invites 2019
Junior & Senior Westies performed as part of ACE Invites show at Arlington Arts on 12th December 2019. They performed two brand new pieces - Juniors showcased their piece 'Searching' and Senior's danced their piece 'Strangers'. Both pieces were choreographed by Sarah Martin & Dancers.
Westies 2019-2020
Junior & Senior Westies have been working hard in their rehearsals since September to create pieces ready for all of their upcoming shows.

Encompass III
Junior & Senior WBYDC performed on Saturday 13th July as part of Encompass III at Arlington Arts, Newbury.
Both companies showcased new pieces in the show, Juniors performed 'Rivaled Minds' and Seniors performed 'Rebellion' and 'Red Hot', which have been choreographed by Sarah Martin and the company members.
Lift Off 2019
Senior WBYDC were lucky enough to be chosen to perform as part of Lift Off Dance Platform at South Hill Park Bracknell on 24th March 2019. They performed their stunning piece 'Lost in a Crowd'.
Spring Equinox 2019
Junior & Senior WBYDC took part in the annual youth dance platform Spring Equinox at Corn Exchange Newbury on 19th March 2019. Junior WBYDC performed their new piece 'Boss', whilst Senior WBYDC premiered their piece 'Decaying into Darkness'. Both pieces were choreographed by Sarah Martin & Dancers.

Senior WBYDC were invited as special guests to perform as part of Lift Off/U.Dance 2018 at South Hill Park, Bracknell on Sunday 22nd April. They performed their piece 'On My Way' choreographed by Sarah Martin & Dancers.

Junior & Senior WBYDC performed as part of Spring Equinox at Newbury Corn Exchange on Tuesday 20th March.
Juniors performed 'Jealous' while Seniors performed 'Too Close', all choreographed by Sarah Martin and Dancers.

Senior WBYDC had their first show of 2018 as the curtain raiser at 'Breakout', a show of outstanding dance from Trinity, Kennet and The Downs Schools, where they performed their piece 'Down' choreographed by Sarah Martin & Dancers.

Quantum Leap 2016
Junior & Senior WBYDC performed on Saturday 25th June as part of Quantum Leap at Arlington Arts, Newbury.
Both companies showcased new pieces in the show, Juniors performed 'Hope' and Seniors performed' Mine', which have been choreographed by Sarah Martin and the company members.
Spring Equinox 2016
Junior & Senior WBYDC performed as part of Spring Equinox at Newbury Corn Exchange on Tuesday 22nd March.
Juniors performed 'Runnin' while Seniors performed 'Connections/Unity' and 'Pose', all choreographed by Sarah Martin & Dancers.
Rebourne Workshop 2015
WBYDC were lucky enough to have an amazing workshop with Tom Clark, a dancer in Matthew Bourne's New Adventures. Tom is a current member of the company who has performed in ‘Swan Lake’, ‘Edward Scissorhands’ & is currently performing in ‘The Car Man’. The workshop looked at characterisation in dance as well as learning repertoire from 'The Car Man'.
